Job summary

American Water is seeking a Sr Operator, Operations in Oakhurst, CA. This full-time, regular role supports water treatment, production and distribution facilities under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor.

You will perform daily plant operation, chemical adjustments, meter readings, equipment maintenance, and respond to service orders. Requires CA Driver's license; Water System Operator certifications preferred, and potential on-call duty.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
• Requires California Class C Driver's license with minimal moving violations.
• Ability to read meter readings and perform basic calculations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water treatment and distribution facilities daily.
• Adjust chemicals and monitor compliance with regulations.
• Respond to customer service orders and perform meter readings.
• Drive company vehicle and handle on-call duties as needed.
