Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Technical Advisor to join our Denver team. The role focuses on hydraulics, pumping facilities, intake structures, and pipelines across infrastructure projects nationwide.

The position requires PE licensure, 20+ years of experience in hydraulics and pipelines, and strong leadership in engineering analysis and design. Based in Colorado with an employee-owned culture and collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 20+ years of experience in hydraulics, pumping and pipeline projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license recognized by licensing board.
• Extensive experience in project execution.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and standard design software.
• Strong technical leadership in engineering analysis and design.
• Active participant in an employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers and lead designers in developing design calculations and documents.
• Lead design efforts in hydraulics, pumping facilities, intake structures and pipelines.
• Work on projects involving potable water, wastewater, storm water, dams/levees, water supply and hydraulic structures.
• Provide technical leadership across infrastructure projects.
