HDR is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Advisor to join our highly collaborative team in Denver on a full-time basis. The primary duty of the Senior Technical Advisor is to assist project managers and lead designers in efforts related to develop design calculations and documents for infrastructure projects across the country. The Sr. Technical Advisor will have an emphasis on hydraulics, pumping facilities, intake structures and pipelines. Projects may involve potable water, wastewater, storm water, dams/levees, water supply and hydraulic structures. Position will be based in Colorado, Greenwood Village office location.

Preferred Qualifications
  • MS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering,
  • 15+ years of experience in hydraulics, pumping and pipeline projects.
  • Familiarity with Hydraulic Institute standards and their application to pumping systems is desirable.
  • Familiarity with physical models as well as CFD modeling.
  • Experience in developing project approach and proposal content for municipal projects with creative solutions to water supply, wastewater, stormwater and potable water transmission challenges.
  • Desire to assist water resources clients with conveyance components of dam jane levee projects.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • A minimum of 20 years of experience
  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
  • Extensive experience in project execution
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard design software.
  • Must be comfortable being viewed as a technical expert in engineering analysis and design and have proven background of technical leadership on these types of projects
