Job summary

Carollo Engineers in Phoenix seeks an experienced Senior Water Reuse Engineer to lead water, wastewater and reuse projects. You will manage design, budgets, schedules and client interface across medium-sized programs.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 10–15 years of design experience in water treatment and wastewater projects, and strong communication with clients and teams. This role involves travel and collaboration with subconsultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
• 10-15 years of design experience in environmental consulting with hydraulics and treatment plant design.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE).
• Experience managing medium-sized projects with budget, schedule and quality responsibility.
• Experience designing treatment plants and developing设计 concepts and detailed designs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
• Deliver high-quality services within budget and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Design of water, wastewater, and reuse treatment facilities

• Plans, schedules, and conducts engineering work on projects of small to medium sizes

• Responsible for budget, schedule and quality standards

• Has full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments

• Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to the water reuse field

• Carries out complex assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures to create new or refined equipment, material, processes or methods

• Assists in proposal preparation and interviews and may be included in contract negotiations with clients after selection

• Develops relationships with existing clients and has responsibility for client maintenance at staff level on existing projects

• Works closely with subconsultants on projects

• Active in professional associations, including attendance and participation in local, regional, and national conventions

• Travel required when requested

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering

• 10-15 years of design experience in the field of environmental consulting engineering with an emphasis in hydraulics, physical, chemical, and biological treatment processes and treatment plant design

• Registration as a Professional Engineer

• Must have demonstrated experience with managing and designing medium sized projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards

• Experience designing treatment plants, including development of conceptual/preliminary designs and detailed design document preparation

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team

• Deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints

• Experience working with wastewater collection systems and water and reclaimed water transmission/distribution projects

• Proficient in MS Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
