How will you contribute to the team?

• Apply full competency in conventional engineering work and broad knowledge of precedents in specialty area.
• Understand how to clearly convey the design intent to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Have a firm grasp of the fundamentals of engineering processes and their application to operating systems.
• Have a thorough understanding of construction methods and how engineering drawings and specifications are translated into the constructed product.
• Uphold engineering ethics and standards of conduct.
• Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
• Perform preliminary engineering design and/or review the design and drafting work of junior engineers, designers or drafters.
• Work with external clients at progress meetings and throughout projects to meet client needs, project schedules, goals and deadlines.
• Prepare cost and man-hour estimates, job budgets and schedules.
• Perform quality control and provide guidance to junior staff related to hydrologic/hydraulic models or methods.
• Prepare or oversee the preparation of final plans and reports and submit them for approval.
• Conduct or oversee personnel involved in engineering investigations and planning work.
• Coordinate work with other engineers and professionals within and outside own discipline, and with support services staff.
• May manage or assist in the management of projects.
• May perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

What will you contribute?

• B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering. This level may be achieved by Engineers with seven years' experience since B.S.
• Six years’ experience since M.S. Incumbents typically have ten to fifteen years' experience since Bachelor's degree.
• P.E. license is required.
• Proficiency in Microstation, Open Roads Designer, ICPR / Stormwise, Microsoft suite.
• Experience in AutoCAD, 3D corridor modeling, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS is a plus.
