Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Water Resources Engineer at project to senior level for our Marlborough, MA office. You will support stormwater management, green infrastructure, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, and resiliency design for transportation projects.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree with 5+ years (senior 10+), a MA PE license, and experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, StormCAD, HydroCAD, and HEC-RAS. This role offers a hybrid work model with in-office and remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience for project-level or minimum of 10 years for senior-level.
• Professional Engineer License (MA).
• Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, StormCAD, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and analysis of roadway stormwater treatment and conveyance systems, including drainage pipe networks, culverts, inlets, retention/detention basins, roadside swales, and related stormwater infrastructure.
• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and develop associated models to support design and evaluation of water resources systems.
• Prepare construction and bid documents, including engineering plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
• Develop technical reports and documentation to communicate analyses, methodologies, and design recommendations.
• Participate in client meetings and deliver presentations to communicate project status, findings, and technical solutions.
• Execute work in accordance with internal quality procedures, applicable codes, legislation, and industry standards to ensure project compliance and technical excellence.
• Actively pursue continuous learning opportunities to maintain a high degree of technical knowledge and professional competency in transportation/traffic engineering.
• Promote and maintain a culture of safety by working in a safe manner at all times and promptly reporting all health and safety incidents or concerns.
• Perform additional tasks as required to support project goals, team objectives, and company initiatives.
