Job summary

GAMARC Consulting seeks a Senior Water Resources Engineer/Project Manager in Austin, TX. Lead water resources teams and manage stormwater, watershed, and drainage projects across Central Texas. Manage technical work and project finances while coordinating with CAD and marketing teams.

Ideal candidate has a TX PE license, strong leadership, and a track record in design engineering and project management. Occasional travel to San Antonio is expected; hybrid work option available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
• Licensed Texas Professional Engineer (PE) for at least 3 years.
• Proven leadership as design engineering lead or project manager.
• Experience designing stormwater treatment facilities and storm drain improvements.
• FEMA Flood Insurance Mapping familiarity.
• Strong communication and collaboration with project teams.
• Experience solving flood, erosion, and water quality issues with innovative technologies.

Responsibilities

• Train and lead engineers and staff to meet project goals within resources.
• Prepare plans, specifications, cost opinions, schedules, and permits.
• Coordinate design drawings with the CAD team.
• Collaborate with marketing to pursue opportunities and prepare technical content.
• Coordinate with finance for fee proposals, forecasting, and invoicing.
• Conduct regular project update meetings.
• Convey project results in technical documents, interviews, and presentations.
• Light travel between Austin and San Antonio as needed.
