Job summary

The Personnel Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer for a premier civil and environmental engineering firm in the Baton Rouge area. The role focuses on municipal water infrastructure design, reliability, and sustainability, with leadership across projects and client engagement.

You will develop water supply and distribution plans, optimize wastewater facilities, and apply hydrological analyses to enhance resilience against weather events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering with a focus on water resources.
• PE license in one or more states or ability to obtain within a year.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in water systems design and management.
• Proficiency with hydrological modeling software and advanced computational analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive design plans for potable water supply and distribution systems.
• Lead evaluation and optimization of wastewater collection and treatment facilities.
• Conduct hydrological analyses to mitigate flood risks and improve resilience.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Implement advanced water treatment technologies to meet regulatory and environmental standards.
• Draft and present engineering reports and proposals to clients and stakeholders.
• Initiate and oversee energy optimization across municipal projects.
