Job summary

Pennoni is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead water and wastewater projects from our Winter Haven, Florida office. The role focuses on wastewater treatment and conveyance projects, with collaboration across offices to deliver client solutions.

The ideal candidate has a Civil/Environmental Engineering background with 8+ years in engineering, and a PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months). Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering-oriented discipline (preferably Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering).
• 8+ years of professional experience in Engineering, preferably with wastewater/wet utility projects.
• PE license (we will consider candidates who can obtain PE within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of support staff and senior staff on multiple projects to complete design, bidding, contract administration, and construction support.
• Interact with clients in the Mid-Atlantic region (PA & NJ focus) to develop design criteria for water/wastewater facilities.
• Design and develop project plans, reports, cost estimates, and specifications for water/wastewater projects, coordinating with regulatory agencies for permitting.
• Manage projects including scope, tasks, scheduling, and budgets.
• Communicate with team and clients about design and construction progress.
• Perform field data collection and site visits; provide Construction Administration as needed.
• Mentor staff to improve team performance.
• Take on additional tasks as needed.
