Job summary

Pennoni is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead water and wastewater projects from our Philadelphia office. The role focuses on wastewater treatment and conveyance, with cross-project collaboration across the Mid-Atlantic region.

The candidate will supervise staff, coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies, and drive design, permitting, and construction support efforts to meet project objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 8+ years of professional experience in engineering, preferably wastewater/wet utility.
• PA PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of staff on multiple water/wastewater projects to complete design, bidding, contract administration, and construction support.
• Interact with clients in the Mid-Atlantic region (PA & NJ focus) to develop design criteria for water and wastewater facilities.
• Design and develop project plans, technical reports, cost estimates, and specifications; coordinate with regulatory agencies for permitting.
• Manage projects' scope, tasks, scheduling, and budgets.
• Provide mentorship to staff and communicate with clients throughout project lifecycle.
