Job summary

Lochmueller Group seeks an experienced Water Resources Engineer to lead water, wastewater, and stormwater design efforts in the Kansas City region. You will help shape the regional service vision, mentor staff, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to drive growth and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or closely related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) in Missouri and/or Kansas.
• Extensive water resources engineering experience with a proven ability to lead projects and deliver high-quality results.
• Strong interest in driving client engagement and pursuing new business opportunities.
• Excellent inter-personal and leadership skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with senior leaders on client management and strategic business development for water resources in Western Missouri and Kansas.
• Drive efforts to expand water resources engineering services in the region.
• Pursue new business opportunities through relationships and professional networks.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and staff development.
• Generate project proposals and participate in interviews with marketing and leadership.
• Serve as project manager on various water resources projects.
• Develop project goals, scopes of work, and budgets to guide activities.
• Produce high-quality deliverables and perform QC/QA.
• Stay current with emerging industry trends.
• Perform other related responsibilities as needed.
