Job summary

Egis is seeking a Senior Water Engineer, Land Development for our Pittsburgh or Camp Hill, PA offices. You will independently advance water resources designs, secure agency approvals, and mentor junior staff while coordinating with teams to meet scope and budget.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering degree, PA PE license, 8+ years of related experience, and proficiency with MicroStation, HydroCAD, Hydraflow, PondPack, SWMM, and Civil3D/Open Roads Designer.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PA PE license required.
• 8+ years in water resources design and management.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with PennDOT or PA Turnpike criteria.
• Experience with NPDES/GP-11 permits & joint permit apps.
• Experience hydrologic/hydraulic modeling with HEC-RAS.
• Proficiency with Civil3D or Open Roads Designer.

Responsibilities

• Progress design to agency approval for water resource tasks.
• Mentor and train junior staff members.
• Develop technical scope and price proposals for water work.
• Coordinate own work and team work to meet scope and budget.
• Track scope changes and budget variances on projects.
• Apply experience to anticipate risk and cross-project effects.
• Improve processes with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Support water resource projects across the region.
