Job summary

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is seeking a Water Resources Engineer with 10+ years of experience to support our Water Resources Group in our Albuquerque office. You will perform analysis and design as a Project Engineer on complex water resource projects for municipal clients and support other divisions as needed.

Responsibilities include supervising junior staff, conducting stormwater modeling, floodplain studies, sediment transport analyses, and permitting support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Master’s degree with emphasis in Hydrology and/or Hydraulics preferred.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible water resources experience.
• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Note: visa sponsorship is not offered.

Responsibilities

• Provide project engineering and management on water resources design projects.
• Supervise and delegate work to junior engineers and support staff.
• Conduct stormwater collection systems modeling and design.
• Perform floodplain, inundation, and hydrologic studies.
• Perform sediment transport and scour analyses for water resources projects.
• Assist in water resources permitting efforts.
• Collect, evaluate, and present data in technical reports and oral presentations.
• Assist in preparation of plans and specifications for detention facilities and other hydraulic structures.
• Work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to business development, marketing, and proposal preparation.
