Job summary

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects in Albuquerque seeks a Water Resources Engineer with 10+ years of experience to lead municipal water resources design and analysis projects.

You will supervise junior staff, perform hydrologic studies, assist with permitting, and contribute to multidisciplinary teams while supporting business development efforts. PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months is required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
• Master's degree in hydrology/hydraulics preferred.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide project engineering and management on water resources design projects.
• Supervise junior engineers and support staff on hydraulic tasks within large projects.
• Conduct stormwater collection systems modeling and design.
• Perform floodplain, inundation, and hydrologic studies.
• Perform sediment transport and scour analyses to support water resources projects.
• Assist in water resources permitting efforts.
• Collect, evaluate, and present data in technical reports and presentations.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering plans and specifications for design of detention facilities, storm drains, flood control facilities and other hydraulic structures.
• Work independently and within multidisciplinary teams of geomorphologists, biologists, planners, emergency managers, and additional hydraulic and water resources engineers.
• Contribute to business development, marketing, and proposal preparation efforts.
