Job summary
Kimley-Horn in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Civil Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join our Surface Water team on-site. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams on surface water management, hydrology, hydraulics, and FEMA-related submittals.
Responsibilities include preparing studies and designs, developing scopes of work and budgets, and leading client and project coordination while contributing to watershed master planning and flood analysis.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
- Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- Experience with water resources software and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Support water resources practice with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Carry out surface water management projects and hydrologic modeling.
- Prepare hydraulic studies, drainage reports, and design plans.
- Produce regulatory submittals (CLOMR/LOMR) to FEMA and master plans.
- Develop scopes of work and budgets; lead client and project coordination.
- Contribute to watershed master planning and flood studies.
