Job summary

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in civil engineering or related field.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree or equivalent AE experience (8+ years).
• Licensed PE in Civil Engineering or 8+ years AE experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Proficient in ESRI ArcMap/ArcGIS/ArcGIS Online.
• Proficient in PDF software such as Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and take direction.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented.
• Kneel, climb, lift up to 50 lbs; valid CA driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Management and manage workload of engineering staff.
• Meet with clients regarding work and performance of the team.
• Prepare PS&E bid packages from concepts to final design.
• Solve design problems using engineering calculations and standards.
• Prepare engineering reports for civil site improvements, water systems, and utilities.
• Prepare and/or support reports and technical writing for projects.
• Prepare project drawings in AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Use Civil3D to establish alignments, profiles, cross sections, and earthwork.
• Work on project teams under CWE project managers.
• Deliver assignments on time and within budget.
• Interact with public/private clients and multi-discipline teams.
