Job summary

Apex is hiring an Engineer III- Water Resources to lead design and delivery of civil/site projects in the Denver area. You will prepare plans, specs, and cost estimates, apply AutoCAD Civil3D, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on water distribution, drainage, and infrastructure projects.

The role emphasizes leadership, client interaction, and timely, high-quality results. Ideal candidates bring a PE or 8+ years AE experience, strong GIS and reporting skills, and the ability to manage

Qualifications

• 4+ years of civil engineering or related field
• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering or 8+ years AE industry experience
• PE registration in Civil Engineering or 8+ years AE experience
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS software
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage scopes, schedules, and budgets

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Management and manage workload of engineering staff
• Meet with clients regarding work and performance of team
• Prepare PS&E bid packages and design plans
• Prepare and review engineering reports for civil site improvements and water systems
• Create project drawings in AutoCAD Civil3D and calculate earthwork
• Contribute to proposals and funding efforts for projects
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams and stakeholders
• Ensure on-time deliverables within budget and quality objectives
