Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks a leader to oversee RIDOH certified water quality laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves reporting to regulators, analyzing data, and coordinating with operations and customer service to address water quality concerns.

The successful candidate will maintain NELAC certification, participate in audits, and lead lab expansion plans while collaborating with external sales and internal teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in water quality lab operations.
• Minimum of 6 credits in microbiology.
• RI academic requirements for directors of certified labs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee RIDOH certified laboratory operations to ensure compliance with procedures and processes.
• Maintain the lab's certification status under NELAC.
• Participate in state audits and update applicable SOPs.
• Prepare and submit required reports to regulating agencies and clients.
• Analyze sample data, identify patterns, and advise operations and customer service.
• Provide technical data to Corporate Communications for inquiries and reports.
• Manage schedules for collecting and analyzing samples and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Collaborate with outside technical sales reps to stay updated on new methods.
• Support operations on water quality and regulatory compliance issues.
• Develop plans for lab expansion and in-house treatment implementations.
