Job summary

Hazen and Sawyer in Northern California seeks a Senior Water Project Manager to lead water projects from concept through operations. You will oversee planning, design, and construction with a focus on drinking water, reuse, and regulatory coordination.

The role requires a PE license and 12+ years in municipal water treatment or related fields, with strong communication and mentorship skills. A hybrid schedule is offered to fit busy professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental engineering is required.
• PE license is required.
• 12+ years of experience in municipal water treatment, water quality, water treatment technology or manufacturing.
• Experience delivering long-duration projects in cross-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; interacts with staff, clients and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Project management, design, planning, operational support and business development focusing on water reuse and drinking water projects.
• Support and develop proposal development.
• Identify, hire, supervise and mentor junior drinking water staff.
• Coordinate with clients and internal technical specialists for project delivery.
• Manage projects to meet client expectations, budgets and quality requirements.
• Ensure quality delivery of engineering projects following Hazen processes.
