Job summary

Volarify is seeking a Lead Water Technician in the Pittsburgh, PA area to lead water damage mitigation and drying projects for residential and commercial properties.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of water mitigation experience, current IICRC certifications (WRT strongly preferred; ASD preferred), and strong leadership, documentation, and customer service skills to supervise field crews and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of professional water damage mitigation/restoration experience.
• IICRC certifications required; WRT strongly preferred; ASD certification preferred.
• Solid knowledge of IICRC S500 Water Damage Restoration Standard and drying procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise water mitigation technicians and field crews.
• Assess damage and determine mitigation and drying procedures.
• Develop and implement structural drying plans.
• Perform moisture inspections, mappings, and daily monitoring.
• Operate air movers, dehumidifiers, and other equipment; adjust as needed.
• Document projects with photos, moisture maps, and drying reports.
• Train and mentor junior technicians; ensure safety compliance.
• Coordinate with customers, management, and adjusters on updates.
