Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Water to lead municipal stormwater and wastewater projects in the New York metropolitan area. The role requires hands-on project leadership, robust hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, and guiding design teams through bid packages and permitting processes.

Partial telecommuting is allowed; the role requires three in-office days per week. A Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, eight years of PM experience, and a PE license are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering plus 8 years of project management experience delivering municipal stormwater or wastewater infrastructure.
• PE license is required.
• Experience preparing design plans and specifications for stormwater and wastewater projects for public clients.
• Proficiency in StormCAD, Storm and Sanitary, HydroCAD, HEC-HMS/HEC-RAS, and related design software.
• Ability to obtain project permits from Federal, State, and local agencies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare plans and specifications for drainage, site-civil development, and pumping stations.
• Provide overall project management of stormwater and/or wastewater projects.
• Lead delivery teams and prepare bid documents, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and stormwater modeling.
• Prepare reports detailing study results and conclusions.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and office personnel.
• Mentor early career engineers and review work products.
• Develop combined sewer projects and LTCP.
• Must be able to obtain necessary permits.
