Job summary

AECOM seeks a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead complex municipal water and wastewater projects in the Houston/Southeast Texas region. You will manage construction-phase delivery, budgets, schedules, quality, and coordination among clients, contractors, design teams, and regulators.

The role emphasizes leadership of construction teams, risk management, and business development, with a focus on delivering projects on time and within scope for a dynamic infrastructure portfolio.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Civil, Environmental, or Construction Management with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Texas PE license preferred; CCM or PMP certification a plus.
• Experience delivering municipal water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing large-scale, multi-year projects as an owner’s representative or consultant.
• Familiarity with alternative delivery methods (CMAR, Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build).
• Strong client relationships and ability to support business development.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction management and delivery of municipal water, wastewater, and conveyance projects.
• Serve as primary liaison between municipal clients, contractors, engineering teams, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee contract administration including RFIs, submittals, change orders, payments, and claims.
• Manage budgets, schedules, scope, quality, and risk; monitor contractor performance and compliance.
• Provide leadership to construction managers, resident engineers, inspectors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Oversee quality, safety, testing, commissioning, substantial completion, and project closeout.
• Support preconstruction planning and constructability reviews; assist in client relations and growth initiatives.
• Drive business development by engaging municipal clients and industry partners.
