Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to support the Houston Water/Wastewater/Conveyance practice. This role involves senior-level construction management, project leadership, and business development across municipal water projects in Houston and Southeast Texas.

The successful candidate will interface with clients, contractors, design teams, and regulatory agencies, overseeing construction-phase activities, change management, cost control, and project closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management or related field plus 10 years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Texas is preferred.
• Experience leading municipal water/wastewater infrastructure projects and complex multi-year programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction management and delivery of municipal water, wastewater, and conveyance projects.
• Serve as primary construction-phase liaison between clients, contractors, engineering teams, and regulators.
• Oversee contract administration including RFIs, submittals, change orders, payment applications, and claims.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, scope, quality, and risk; monitor contractor performance.
• Provide leadership to construction managers, resident engineers, inspectors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Oversee quality, safety coordination, testing, commissioning, and project closeout.
• Support preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, and client development activities.
