Job summary

GBA is seeking a Civil Engineer V: Water Lead Engineer to lead complex potable water projects and set engineering standards. You will mentor teams, shape technical direction, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver sustainable water infrastructure.

You will apply vast experience in water systems design, modeling, and regulatory compliance, while guiding project delivery and client engagement across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and PE license preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for potable water distribution, transmission and treatment projects.
• Act as technical authority for design quality, standards and QA/QC across projects.
• Lead design oversight for water distribution systems, storage tanks, and booster stations.
• Review complex calculations, hydraulic models, studies, plans and reports for accuracy.
• Develop innovative solutions for technically challenging water infrastructure projects.
• Establish engineering best practices and standards across the Water Environment practice.
• Partner with Project Leaders to ensure technical excellence and project delivery.
• Support business development through proposals, scope development, and client pursuits.
• Mentor engineers and professionals to strengthen technical expertise across teams.
• Represent GBA as a trusted technical advisor with clients and regulators.
