Job summary

Weston & Sampson is seeking a Principal Engineer for Water Infrastructure to oversee a multidisciplinary team delivering municipal, commercial, and industrial water projects across Connecticut, western Massachusetts and eastern New York.

You will lead business development, respond to proposals, interviews and presentations, and mentor staff while collaborating with regional leadership to grow client relationships and revenue, ensuring project delivery and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental engineering; Masters’ preferred.
• 15+ years of engineering experience with PE license in Connecticut or ability to obtain within six months.
• Strong knowledge of the public water infrastructure market in CT, western MA and eastern NY.
• Proven track record in business development, including pursuit of new work and revenue growth.
• Exemplary communication skills and ability to lead proposals and client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage water infrastructure and treatment projects across CT, western MA, and eastern NY.
• Lead business development via client relationships, market awareness, and opportunity pursuit.
• Participate in competitive pursuits including proposals, interviews, and presentations.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to expand market presence and revenue growth.
• Mentor staff in business development, client engagement, and proposal preparation.
• Travel as required and supervise/training of staff.
