Water Engineer Position

WSB is seeking a Water Engineer with at least 10 years of experience in project engineering, planning, designing, and construction of drinking water systems to join our team! You will contribute to the company, our clients, and their communities by:

1. Providing project engineering and design of new water treatment facilities, groundwater wells, water storage facilities, pumping stations, and water distribution systems.
2. Conducting business development and developing client relationships in drinking water markets.
3. Preparing comprehensive water system plans and water studies.
4. Reviewing existing water treatment facilities, preparing reports for proposed equipment/systems upgrades and replacements, and presenting findings to clients and regulatory agencies.
5. Evaluating and applying various water treatment technologies, equipment, and processes to optimize performance or ensure regulatory compliance.
6. Developing specifications and drawings such as PFDs and P&IDs for senior drafting technicians.
7. Assessing impacts of changing EPA and MDH regulations on client needs.
8. Traveling to client and vendor locations for design reviews, field verification, proposal presentations, and business development activities.
9. Designing and renovating lift stations, reviewing wastewater treatment facilities, and helping prepare sewer system plans.

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

1. A minimum of 10 years of experience in planning, designing, and constructing water treatment facilities, groundwater wells, water storage facilities, pumping stations, and water distribution systems.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
3. A current PE license or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
4. A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to work at various locations.
5. The ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.
6. Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
