The position emphasizes collaboration with a SEIU-represented team, and a schedule of 9-hour shifts Monday–Thursday with an every-other-Friday off, aligning with city operations and public service commitments.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade supplemented by two (2) years of college-level coursework or specialized technical training in a related field and four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience performing skilled maintenance experience in water distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead in Aquifer Storage and Recovery projects including well pump/motor/motor control center rehabilitation.
• Assist as technical lead implementing capital maintenance projects.
• Maintain the water distribution system hydraulic network and participate in preventive maintenance.
• Implement a new preventive maintenance program in AMMS over the next year.
• Provide technical direction to assigned water utility technicians and maintenance staff; review quality of work.
