Job summary

Stantec in Portland, Maine, seeks a Senior Project Manager / Technical Lead in Conveyance to lead planning, design and delivery of urban storm drain, sewer, and drinking water conveyance projects for municipal clients across New England.

You will mentor design teams, drive business development, manage scope, budget and schedule, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineers to deliver innovative solutions while navigating regulatory and permitting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 15 years of project management experience in a consulting environment focused on conveyance and water infrastructure.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus.
• Travel to other offices and project sites may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of design professionals and technicians.
• Mentor and supervise staff and develop high-performing project teams.
• Perform business development and client relationship activities to grow project wins.
• Prepare scopes, estimates, and proposals; coordinate with multiple business lines.
• Oversee design and construction; manage budget and schedule.
• Coordinate QA/QC and regulatory reviews.
• Lead multi-disciplinary project delivery and client communications.
