AECOM’s Water Business Line seeks a Senior Water Conveyance Engineer to support national pipeline projects. You will collaborate with design teams across multiple offices to advance design and rehabilitation of water pipelines, applying expertise in CAD-driven analysis and forensics.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil, Geotechnical or Structural Engineering with 8 years of related experience, or equivalent.
• Licensed PE or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• 8 years of project experience in design of municipal water, wastewater and/or stormwater pipelines.
• Valid US Driver’s License and ability to pass MVR.
• Experience with pipeline design codes, standards and regulations.
• Strong ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with pipeline design experts to develop design and construction plans, specs and cost estimates.
• Conduct field inspections and condition assessments to ensure compliance with design standards.
• Work on pipeline failure analysis and forensics projects.
• Design and rehabilitation of new and existing pipelines; consider open-cut and trenchless methods.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams and mentor junior staff.
• Draft investigations, memoranda and engineering reports; contribute to written documentation.
