HDR, Inc. in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking a Wastewater Project Manager to lead municipal and industrial wastewater projects, guiding them from planning through startup.

You will direct multidisciplinary teams, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and mentor junior staff within a dynamic, employee-owned culture. You will develop client relationships, contribute to proposals, and coordinate with regulatory agencies to ensure project success, quality, and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 7 years related experience inclusive of a minimum 2 years experience in project management
• Requires professional engineering license (PE) recognized by location
• MS Office and MS Project experience required
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Active participation in employee-owned culture

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage municipal and industrial wastewater projects from planning and design through construction and startup
• Serve as Project Manager for wastewater treatment plant improvements, process optimization projects, and related facilities
• Develop and maintain relationships with public- and private-sector clients
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering disciplines
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality and risk
• Lead project meetings, workshops and client engagements
• Support business development, including proposals and interviews
• Identify opportunities with municipal utilities and industrial clients
• Mentor junior engineers and project managers
• Implement HDR quality management and QA/QC procedures
• Coordinate staffing and workload planning
• Track project financial performance and report to leadership
