Job summary

Resource Renew, the WLSSD brand, seeks a Senior Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator for on-site duties in Duluth, MN. The role focuses on monitoring, operating, and optimizing wastewater facilities, ensuring regulatory compliance and safety.

You will work with licensed operators and trades professionals to maintain environmental stewardship and high operational standards across the district. Candidates should hold MPCA Class B certification or equivalent experience, with strong SCADA and safety

Qualifications

• Minnesota MPCA Class B Wastewater Operator certification required or equivalent combined with experience.
• Strong knowledge of NPDES permit and air emission requirements.
• Ability to monitor, operate, and optimize wastewater treatment processes.
• Experience with control charts, process graphics, and SOP development.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment and collection systems on a daily basis.
• Manage SCADA monitoring, alarms, and coordination with maintenance staff.
• Maintain operational records, logs, and SOPs; conduct routine plant inspections.
• Ensure safety practices and regulatory compliance in all activities.
• Coordinate with licensed operators and outside responders during incidents.
