Republic Services is seeking a Wastewater Operator III to manage safe and compliant operation of a wastewater treatment facility. You will monitor performance, adjust treatment, and keep pumps, conveyors, blowers, and vacuum systems up and running.

You will also oversee inbound waste loads, direct site safety, and report issues while maintaining detailed records and performing routine lab tests. Join a large environmental services leader with strong benefits.

Competenze

• Current 40‑Hour HAZWOPER Training or ability to pass class upon hire.
• Knowledge of operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and supporting electrical/hydraulic systems.
• Knowledge of collection systems, including pump and regulator stations.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical theory related to pumps, cross‑connections, and related equipment.
• Proficiency in routine laboratory sampling and testing procedures.
• Ability to prioritize, stay focused, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors, operators, and drivers.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in responding to plant issues and to coordinate with other operators and supervisors to maintain compliance and reliability.

Mansioni

• Monitor effluent to maintain compliance and adjust treatment regimen as needed.
• Oversee monitoring of inbound waste loads to verify they meet inbound parameters and will not negatively impact plant health or compliance.
• Direct drivers to follow site safety procedures while on company property.
• Collaborate with operators and the manager to address treatment issues; promptly report equipment malfunctions, spills, and compliance concerns.
• Record daily system readings and inspections as needed.
• Enter operating data into information systems and maintain accurate system records.
• Review equipment maintenance and repair records and elevate issues as needed.
• Review logs and records of waste received and shipped off-site.
• Perform routine laboratory sampling and in-lab tests in accordance with procedures.
• Perform indoor and outdoor housekeeping/grounds tasks to maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
