Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Supervisor to ensure compliant operation of the wastewater treatment plant, manage the team, and support cost-control initiatives.

The role involves coordinating with engineering and 3rd party operators to meet environmental standards and reporting requirements. Responsibilities include preparing regular reports, leading audits, and ensuring maintenance of equipment while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental or 5 years as a licensed Wastewater Treatment Operator with 2 years progressive Supervisory experience.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain a WDNR Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators certification and applicable subclasses A1, A4, B, C, and P.
• Be able to perform and document various tests required by State and Federal agencies for the operation of a wastewater treatment plant.
• Have working knowledge of the machinery used for wastewater treatment and pumping stations.
• Extensive knowledge of State and Federal rules governing wastewater discharges and employee safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversees operation of facilities to meet regulatory requirements and environmental permit requirements.
• Plans, organizes, assigns, directs, and reviews wastewater plant operations, coordinating with 3rd party operators.
• Develops and implements techniques to increase operation efficiency and reduce pollutants.
• Prepares daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and inspections.
• Participates in environmental audits and leads corrective action efforts.
• Manages staff in operating, planning, repairing and maintaining the wastewater treatment system.
