Job summary

Egis in the U.S. Houston office is seeking an experienced Wastewater Engineer (PE) to support planning, design, and delivery of municipal wastewater infrastructure projects.

The role emphasizes lead design, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and client interaction. The candidate will assist with wastewater treatment plant design, pump stations, lift stations, and collection systems, while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering.
• 8+ years of wastewater engineering experience, preferably with municipal clients.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience with wastewater treatment plant design, pump stations, collection systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Prepare engineering studies, design calculations, plans, specifications, and reports.
• Design and rehabilitate wastewater treatment facilities and processes.
• Design pump stations, lift stations, force mains, and related conveyance systems.
• Perform hydraulic analyses and evaluate system performance.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines.
• Support permitting, regulatory compliance, and construction-phase services.
• Manage project tasks, schedules, budgets, and client communications.
• Mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
