Job summary

Pennoni is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead water and wastewater projects from the Tampa office. The role focuses on wastewater treatment and conveyance with collaboration across our Mid-Atlantic clients and multiple offices.

Responsibilities include coordinating design criteria, managing projects, mentoring staff, and delivering technical reports and permitting coordination. A PE or eligibility within 6 months is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or Environmental).
• 8+ years of professional experience in engineering, preferably wastewater/wet utility projects.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months of start.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team on multiple water/wastewater projects from design through construction support.
• Interact with clients in the Mid-Atlantic region, focusing on PA & NJ, for design criteria and permitting.
• Design and develop project plans, reports, cost estimates, and specs; coordinate with regulators.
• Manage scope, tasks, schedules, and budgets across projects.
• Communicate with team and clients about design and construction progress.
• Occasionally collect field data and perform site visits; support Construction Administration.
• Mentor staff to improve team performance and knowledge.
• Take on additional tasks as needed.
