Job summary

Pennoni in Tampa, FL is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead water and wastewater projects on a full-time basis, focusing on wastewater treatment and conveyance. The role will base in our Tampa office and involve collaboration with teams across offices to deliver design, permitting, and construction support.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in engineering, PE eligibility within 6 months, and strong leadership and communication skills to mentor staff and manage multifaceted projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil or Environmental).
• 8+ years of professional experience in engineering, preferably wastewater/wet utility projects.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team on multiple projects to complete design, bidding, contract administration, and construction support.
• Interact with clients in the Mid-Atlantic region to define design criteria for water/wastewater facilities.
• Design and develop project plans, technical reports, cost estimates, and specifications for treatment and conveyance projects; coordinate regulatory permits.
• Manage projects: oversee scope, tasks, scheduling, and budgets.
• Mentor staff and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Conduct field data collection and site visits as needed; participate in Construction Administration.
