Job summary

Pennoni in Tampa, FL is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead water and wastewater projects on a full-time, direct basis. The role focuses on wastewater treatment and conveyance, with opportunities to work with private developers, municipalities, and state agencies across the Mid-Atlantic region.

The successful candidate will supervise design teams, develop criteria, manage scopes and budgets, and mentor staff while coordinating with clients and regulatory agencies to obtain permits and approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• 8+ years of professional engineering experience; wastewater/wet utility preferred.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date.
• Experience leading multi-project design teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of staff on multiple projects from design through construction.
• Coordinate with clients in the Mid-Atlantic region (PA/NJ) for design criteria.
• Prepare project plans, reports, cost estimates, and specifications for water/wastewater.
• Manage project scope, tasks, schedules, and budgets.
• Mentor staff and provide project oversight.
• Occasional field data collection and site visits; construction administration.
• Communicate with clients and team throughout project lifecycle.
• Coordinate and assist with regulatory permitting activities.
