Job summary

George, Miles & Buhr, LLC is seeking two mid-to-senior Wastewater Engineers with 5–7+ years of municipal wastewater experience to own key projects across Maryland, Delaware, and the eastern shore of Virginia.

You will lead design, permitting, and client management for WWTPs, pumping stations, and collection systems while balancing in-office collaboration in Salisbury with focused work-from-home days.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in MD or ability to reciprocity within 90 days.
• 5–7+ years of progressive civil/environmental engineering experience focused on municipal wastewater systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design, permitting, and client management for WWTPs, pumping stations, and collection systems.
• Prepare comprehensive engineering plans, specifications, hydraulic modeling, and cost estimates.
• Navigate regulatory approvals with MDE, DNREC, VA DEQ, EPA, and others.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and CAD designers; coordinate funding applications and tracking.
