Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Waste Section Manager for our South Carolina team.

The role involves leading a growing Waste group focused on landfill design, permitting, and construction quality assurance, with responsibility for staff development, profitability, and client and project management. The candidate will collaborate with regional leadership and marketing, oversee production on projects, and contribute to ensuring quality and compliance across the waste program in Greenville and other SC

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 10+ years experience, professional registration or license may be required by role, strong communication and listening skills, ability to handle multiple assignments, good leadership and organizational skills, commitment to employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production section operations including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support.
• Function as Project Manager and handle production on projects along with management duties.
• Lead section staff and coordinate services with other sections.
• Involve in marketing planning, proposals and interviews.
• Engage with waste clients on marketing, project production and related issues.
• Ensure work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated via proactive project management.
