Job summary

HDR is seeking a Waste Section Manager to lead and develop our growing Waste team in South Carolina, with primary operations in Greenville and additional sites in Columbia, Fort Mill, and Charleston.

The role focuses on production leadership, staff development, profitability, and client management, aligning with HDR's employee-owned culture and commitment to excellence in waste planning, permitting, design and construction quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in leading large multi-disciplinary teams in waste facilities.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Active involvement in local professional organizations in South Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for operations of production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support.
• Function as Project Manager and take responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate services with other sections and provide supervision to staff and technical functions
• Participate in marketing planning, proposals and interviews
• Collaborate with National Directors and marketing staff on local and national marketing and production efforts
• Ensure proactive project management and compliance with company policies
• Develop and manage multidisciplinary teams and staff
• Support client relations and project delivery excellence
