Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a DC Supervisor to oversee timely receipt, stocking, order filling, or shipment of merchandise at our distribution center. You may supervise staff operating rolling stock or automated equipment and will ensure adherence to SOPs, staffing plans, and safety programs.

Candidates should have 2+ years of supervisory experience, knowledge of WMS/KRONOS, and strong communication skills to manage performance and develop employees.

Qualifications

• Understanding of inventory accounting.
• Knowledge of specific inbound or outbound functions within the distribution center.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Conflict resolution and one-to-one communication skills.
• Good oral and written communication including interviewing skills.
• Computer skills: warehouse management systems, Word, Excel, and KRONOS payroll/personnel systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervises receipt, stocking, order filling, or shipment of merchandise.
• Notifies WMS personnel regarding shutdowns or failures and communicates issues to the Inbound/Outbound Manager.
• Reviews staffing levels and plans with the Inbound/Outbound Manager.
• Develops continuity in Labor Transfer pay program utilization.
• Conducts weekly and monthly staffing reviews with the Inbound/Outbound Manager.
• Partners with Training Department to monitor new employee development tracking.
• Plans daily production goals.
• Uses Productivity Improvement Plan to identify improvements.
• Reviews quality measurements and reports status to the Inbound/Outbound Manager.
• Maintains employee records daily.
• Supports safety programs to reduce injuries.
• Conducts annual employee reviews and merit increases.
• Interviews and selects candidates with Human Resources.
