Job summary

Emser Tile is seeking a Warehouse Associate 3 (Picker) for our Central Distribution Center in Houston, TX. You will pick line orders and stage them for shipping, using RF scanners to ensure accuracy and maintain pallet integrity.

The role requires 1–3 years in picking, ability to lift 100+ pounds, and reliable attendance. Forklift certification is required. Emser offers healthcare, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a picking/packing role within a distribution center.
• Ability to read item labels and verify shade numbers accurately.
• Comfort with RF scanners and pallet-building procedures.
• Excellent math and counting abilities for piece-to-square-foot calculations.
• Able to lift 100+ pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have regular, predictable attendance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Picks product and builds a pallet to standard.
• Stages product on shipping dock according to shipping schedule.
• Utilizes RF Scanner to ensure accuracy of product.
• Demonstrates how to accurately match shade numbers through label verification.
• Creates new license plates and places them on pallets as required.
• Maintains breakage sheet daily and supports warehouse operations.
• Reads labels, identifies product type, and moves efficiently in the warehouse.
• Contributes to Emser Tile culture and values; remains organized and customer-focused.
