Job summary

Sysco, via Sygma Illinois, seeks a Warehouse Operations Director to lead and optimize all warehouse and distribution activities. You will ensure safe, efficient facility operations, manage a leadership team, and align processes with company policies and OSHA standards.

The role emphasizes staff development, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement in product flow, safety, and productivity within a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 10 years of verifiable management/leadership experience in a distribution-related industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree related to operations systems, business management or related field preferred.
• Certification on material handling equipment required or ability to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety rules to reduce accidents and injuries.
• Lead warehouse management team and associates; hire, train, develop, evaluate and ensure accountability.
• Collaborate with RDC departments to optimize product flow and drive cost/service.
• Manage receiving, slotting and shipping with emphasis on accuracy and productivity.
• Maintain records and ensure training/compliance across operations.
