Job summary

Sysco is seeking an experienced warehouse operations leader to ensure the organized flow of products, uphold quality standards, and control expenses. You will manage staff, payroll, sanitation, and safety while driving efficiency and accuracy across all warehouse activities.

The role requires leadership in training, policy adherence, and cross-department coordination, with a strong focus on safety, cycle counts, and cost control within a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A 4-year degree strongly preferred.
• 10 years warehouse management experience in distribution/manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, direct, and discipline warehouse personnel to achieve effective use of manpower and equipment.
• Process weekly payroll.
• Perform daily sanitation and safety inspections.
• Ensure security, maintenance, and repair of warehouse equipment and the building.
• Perform cycle counting and reconciliations.
• Process invoices and manage expenses.
• Recommend improvements in material handling to reduce costs and boost efficiency.
• Manage productivity and order accuracy to achieve a high warehouse service level.
• Maintain open communications with other departments and management.
• Assure OSHA compliance in warehouse operations.
• Follow Buckhead/Newport Meat & Seafood compliance review in operations.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Review receiving to determine outs, under/overstock problems and quality issues.
• Organize paperwork for outbound shift.
• Review delivery adjustments and reconcile.
• Conduct routine warehouse meetings and maintain a safety program.
• Participate in the safety committee.
