Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC. is seeking an Operations Supervisor for our Atlanta, GA facility responsible for accurate and timely receiving of materials and supervising warehouse areas per shift.

The role monitors inventory, balances workloads, and uses data to optimize performance, safety, and efficiency. Responsibilities include training and coaching staff, interviewing candidates, managing performance, planning assignments, ensuring safety, and coordinating with Human Resources.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years previous work experience in a supervisory role
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong PC and systems experience preferred
• Participation in E-Verify program as indicated by company policy
• Associate degree preferred as education requirement

Responsibilities

• Supervise operations and team in at least one area of operations per shift
• Train and manage performance of employees including team leads
• Interview and screen job candidates, make hiring decisions
• Monitor and assess employee performance and provide feedback
• Coach and take corrective action as needed
• Coordinate with Human Resources on employee issues
• Plan work assignments to meet production goals for warehouse areas
• Complete annual performance reviews and develop staff
• Ensure safety and sanitation regulations are followed
• Promote continuous process improvement and waste reduction
