Job summary

Americold is seeking a Warehouse Operations Leader to oversee all warehouse functions including operations, transportation, personnel, and customer service, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

You will manage budgets, direct departmental activities, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations while representing the company to warehouse customers and driving continuous improvement and disaster recovery planning.

Qualifications

• College degree in business, logistics, or management with a minimum of 5 years of warehousing or logistics management experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Skilled in planning, staffing, budgeting, and organizing.
• Ability to analyze and resolve operational issues related to warehouse management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the annual facility budget and ensure adherence across all warehouse departments.
• Direct, assign, and monitor work and performance objectives for warehouse staff.
• Oversee all warehouse activities, costs, operations, and forecasts, and track progress toward goals.
• Ensure a safe work environment by identifying safety concerns and implementing cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and all federal, state, and local safety regulations.
• Represent the company to warehouse customers, maintain positive relationships, and secure additional business.
• Develop and maintain plans for disaster prevention and recovery, and support continuous improvement processes.
