Job summary

General Machine Products Company is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler II to move products from receipt to shipment. You will load/unload trucks, stage pallets, and prepare docks for shipments. Daily tasks include operating a forklift or pallet jack, scanning orders, and maintaining data in warehouse systems.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, strong attention to safety, and the ability to work independently or with others in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED with 1 year of relevant experience.
• 3 years in distribution or manufacturing preferred.
• Must read, write, speak and understand basic English.
• Experience updating data in warehouse management systems and vendor sites (UPS, FedEx, Home Depot, etc.).
• Experience with IMI Series (AS400) and Boss preferred.
• Ability to operate Class II Order Picker, Class II Stand-Up Forklift, RF Scanner, and Pallet Jack.

Responsibilities

• Move products through the facility from receipt to shipment.
• Load and unload trucks daily using Forklift or Pallet Jack.
• Prepare the dock for incoming/outgoing shipments and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Sort, stage, palletize, and wrap pallets for shipment.
• Verify quantities and quality of received materials; maintain shipping/receiving data.
• Operate RF Scanners to pick, pack, and move orders to staging areas.
• Perform daily equipment safety inspections and follow Six Sigma lean practices.
