Job summary

Parts Authority is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead and optimize operations across distribution centers. The role focuses on productivity, safety, and customer service excellence in a fast‑growing national distribution network.

You will supervise managers, plan staffing, coach teams, and coordinate with purchasing, dispatch, and carriers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining budget controls and 5S standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of productivity, efficiency and customer service.
• Ensure customer service goals are continuously met.
• Analyze daily status reports across all distribution center functional areas and react accordingly.
• Oversee routing of deliveries to customers and stores to find the most efficient route; plan shuttle routes between hub warehouses and stores.
• Analyze data on deliveries and transportation between hub warehouse and stores, and implement improvements.
• Ensure dock-to-stock for most lines within 72 hours.
• Audit and adjust processes and oversee employee productivity metrics.
• Formulate and enforce picking goals for each area/zone of the warehouse.
• Work with purchasing to unload and stock orders from vendors.
• Ensure trucks/trailers are loaded/unloaded efficiently to support movement of goods.
• Work with dispatchers and outbound teams to enhance customer service via delivery vehicles.
• Lead and supervise a team of managers.
• Adjust staffing across multi-functional platforms when timelines are tight and plan staffing/workflow accordingly.
• Assign staff to warehouse jobs and improve staffing with time studies.
• Identify, motivate, mentor and develop high performers.
• Train, develop and motivate all team members.
• Provide actionable feedback during reviews and ongoing growth.
• Hold team members accountable to high productivity metrics; coach for improvement.
• Review and maintain warehouse budget, control operating expenses and capital expenditures.
• Maintain 5S warehouse principles and routine cleanliness, organization, and safety.
• Maintain a safe working environment with DOT and OSHA compliance.
• Frequent communication with executive management.
• Manage carrier relationships (FedEx, UPS, USPS) and local delivery relationships.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• Maintain and promote workplace safety.
