Job summary

MAHLE is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor at the Dayton, OH plant to provide leadership for the Logistics function. You will be part of the plant leadership team, guiding the direction for the entire plant and coordinating with Supply Chain Logistics and Operations.

The role oversees a warehouse of about 110 team members and 6 direct reports, focusing on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. You will drive initiatives, develop staff, and ensure efficient space utilization while

Qualifications

• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
• Thorough knowledge of logistics operations, procedures and information systems (e.g., WMS, SAP, scheduling, planning).
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent field.
• Minimum 5 years of logistics/warehouse experience, preferably in the Automotive sector.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing others.
• Breadth of logistics experience across divisions and/or channels.
• Strong understanding of overall plant manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead logistics staff in developing and implementing key initiatives for the Plant Strategic Development Plan and logistics priorities.
• Contribute to the plant leadership team to drive strategy and labor relations climate.
• Coach and develop team members and drive floor-level process leadership.
• Create an environment for employees to reach goals and build an agile team for continuous improvement.
• Ensure proper selection, training, development and motivation of the team.
• Ensure safety compliance within the logistics department.
• Set up layout and optimize space utilization.
• Manage warehouse staff including hiring, supervising, training, evaluating, and scheduling.
• Coordinate activities within a warehouse from equipment to receiving shipments and supervising employees.
