Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. is seeking an inventory clerk for our North Carolina facility to manage all inventory activities and support shipping and receiving of parts and supply items in a fast-paced aggregates environment.

The role requires verifying requisitions, preparing orders, and weighting and ticketing customer trucks. A minimum of 1 year of related experience and a high school diploma are expected, with strong time management and attention to detail essential for success.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
1+ year related experience.
Time management, detail oriented, oral and written communication.
Organization skills and problem solving.

Responsibilities

Verify purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to the master list and clarifying unclear items.
Operate forklift and sky tracks to move and stage inventory.
Forward available inventory items by verifying stock and scheduling delivery.
Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications, prices, and supplier recommendations.
Obtain purchased items by sending orders to suppliers and tracking receipts.
Verify received items against orders and resolve any shipment discrepancies.
